Federal Policy Agenda

It would be in the interests of the American public to see the following federal policies enacted:

  1. Good Governance
    1. Rectify Congress' abrogation of power by returning to it all rights granted to Congress in the Constitution including the right to enact tariffs and declare war, abridging the expansive powers of the Presidency
    2. The creation of a Deletion Committee in the House and Senate, each dedicated to the removal of antiquated, unnecessary, and burdensome statue in addition to statutes that cannot be enforced
    3. The creation of an Enforcement Committee in the House and Senate dedicated towards ensuring that all statute remaining on the books are enforced and that there are sufficient funds to enable their enforcement
    4. The creation of a non-partisan congressional redistricting commission solely responsible for drawing all districts and direction to the 50 state legislatures to each create a similar commission dedicated to the same mission for state, county, and municipal redistricting in order to prevent gerrymandering and create legislative bodies that are reflective of their constituencies
  2. Financial reform
    1. The gross simplification of the federal tax code by enacting a flat federal income tax of 25% applicable to everyone making a household income above $50k (beneath which such persons would not be liable to pay federal income tax) and eliminating as many tax credits and tax deductions as possible to create a more level playing field and to increase transparency in the tax system regardless of socio-economic status
    2. The elimination of federally-backed student loans, the introduction of which has facilitated the astronomical rise of college tuition across the country, indebting generations for decades
    3. Tax every financial transaction at a rate of one cent
    4. Discontinue the minting of pennies, nickles, and dimes to create savings for the tax payer
  3. Healthcare reform
    1. The automatic expansion of Medicare eligibility to every American citizens and the creation of an all payer rate setting commission within CMS to apply to all Medicare beneficiaries
  4. Prison reform
    1. Provide high school and college degree programs to inmates
    2. Provide inmates with the opportunity to elect to be removed from the general population
    3. Automatically enroll all parolees in Medicare and guarantee job placement upon release
  5. Gun reform
    1.  Tax the sale of bullets, require that every gun and bullet be assigned a registration number, require gun ownership and transfer of ownership (i.e. sale) to be registered in a national firearms database, hold every gun owner criminally liable for any crime committed with that firearm (presenting a great risk to gun owners who illegally sell guns to the black market knowing there's a risk of that gun being used by violent criminals)
  6. Job reform
    1. Guarantee every American a minimum wage job and housing upon completion of high school
